The longer a reader stays on your site the more money you can make with Google Adsense - Elizabeth's Blogger Wikis: How to put music on Google Blogger/Blogspot:

Music is one of the most popular ways to keep a reader on your site, this is a technique that blog writers may use, such as, posting a YouTube video with music, videos or a tutorials. Personally I like MixPod because you can design your gadget and add maybe one song to a blog post or one hundred songs to your sidebar using the Javascript/HTML gadget.

MixPod also offers a social network so that you can promote your site there, here is my custom profile link to MixPod, Elizabeth's Misc Topics.  The site also allows you to connect wityh your facebook account and sync with Mixpod.

Google Blogger templates - Eyecandy for your site

After being stubborn and sticking with the same look, I changed my other two bloggers, Elizabeth's Miscellaneous Topics and Ideas About Starting A Home Based Business From Blogs, styles and looks. The Picture Window template is a personal favorite of mine with it's colors and scrolling options.  Once you get into customising how you want your sidebars, fonts and colors it will be hours before you decide which eyecandy you prefer, yet, it still will be difficult to come to a complete decision.

Why it became time to change my blogs layout and looks was because of the heavy scripting that was entailed when the blogs were first designed in 2009.  It was brought to my attention, from quite a few people, with the Facebook Login button not working properly with the google blogs.  After doing research and coming up with nothing helpful, it became apparent that when editing the HTML on the blogs it caused a conflict with the Facebook Login Button working correctly.  Unfortunately for those of you who have particular layouts starting from scratch is probably your best bet.  Just backup your old blogger template and use one of the Templates offered by blogger.  From there you will probaly have to re-add anything that you entered in your blogs HTML code, such as your OpenId through Symnatic Verisgn or the authentication code you entered via Networked Blogs.

Here are a few free useful tips and sites that will help you increase traffic to your site:

Some ways to advertise you business and website for free

Free Tip:  When viewing your google adsense account in Classic mode using Firefox/Mozilla, the page is blank.  This is because some Adblock Plus included with Firefox is blocking the scripts google uses for adsense.  Go to your Google Adsense account than on the Menu select, Tools --> Adblock Plus and disable on Google.com.

Occasionally, while doing a Google search for business you will run across a website that the business is listed on.  A few that comes to mind is YellowPages, AT&T Solutions and Yahoo Local Listing.  What is amazing is I stumbled across these sites by accident while searching for information about other businesses.  Once the information was discovered, so was the fact that the sites listing the company was in fact a great place to list my own Ideas About Starting A Home Based Business From Blogs, Elizabeth's Blogger Wikis and Elizabeth's Miscellaneous Topics blogsites.  These little things are important in earning visitors so that I can earn more money with my Google Adsense Account.

The moment I come across a site that allows me to list my own site for free, immediately, before it slips my mind, I will sign up and enter my own URLS.  Daily, because of doing this my blog receives more and more visitors.  It takes me probably an hour a day going through google searches before the jackpot is hit.  Than is the process of signing up, adding the information needed to obtain visitors to my site and submitting the URLs for approval.

How you can have a Facebook Groups to promote your blog, website and business!

"Free business website and blog advertisement tips using Facebook's group option.  Free Google Blogger Tip:  When creating Groups, Applications and other Facebook site promotional items, use your logo so that your readers and fans become familiar with it".

Approximately a year ago Facebook launched their option where you can create a group and add your friends to it.  The option can be profitably for a small business just starting out, especially since, when used in moderation, is a great way to freely advertise your business.  The downside, anybody can invite you to a group they created and use it to spam their business with but low and behold if you visit the Facebook Group Help Center, there is an explanation on how to leave that irritating group.  Later in this post I will explain how you can avoid receiving unwanted emails from these groups that you wish not to join and how you can select the groups that you would like to be notified when somebody posts to a favorable group that you created or joined.

Once you have created your group for your company and added the friends you wish to be members you want to now post to the group.  This is especially handy to use whenever a new post is created on your Google blog.  After a post is created all the members in your group will receive an email notifying them that the site you are promoting has been updated.  When doing this though, take into consideration that updating and posting to your group is going to cause you to lose your audience.  If posting excessively throughout the day make you think that you are drawing a large audience to your sight, you are wrong, it will only cause you to lose Facebook group members and friends.

Like myself, when I awaken in the morning to check my emails and see somebody added me to a useless group and than spammed it, the good news is, there is a way around that.  You can change the group settings in your Account Settings --> notifications --> Groups and select how you want to be notified via the groups.
Step 1: account settings

Step 2: Notification

Step 3: Group Settings

Once you create your own private, join a group or are added to a group of interest, from there you have the option to setup how you want to be notified in the group individually.  As you can see from my settings above all notifications are disabled.  In my personal group, Ideas about starting a home based business from blogs, notifications are enabled.  This way people can add me to as many groups as they wish but notifying me of anything is useless.  Unfortunately, until Facebook finds a way for people to have the option to not be added to groups without their permission, you will have to go through and remove yourself from groups occasionally to quite often depending on the size of your Facebook friends list.

Top 20 highest paying Adsense Keywords of 2012

"AdSense is a contextual Cost per click (CPC) based ad network run by Google.  In last year Google made $33.3 billion in revenues."

Since this is a CPC based system, it has an unique determination to figure out the cost of each particular click through.  Occasionally, for competition, the cost of a keyword may become too high (about $50 to $60 Per-Click). Here is a list of the twenty most expensive keywords offered by adsense.  Although I cannot confirm if these are accurate, there has been an occasion where a click through on my own site was a nice amount.

Promote your business for free - some cool free tips

It has been awhile since my last post to this blog but now that I am back and going strong with some new, free and excellent ideas on promoting your website and business for free.  A few thing you may have noticed but never really gave thought to in the past are when you are searching for images via Google's images.  When you hover your mouse over an image after searching and below the image are descriptions, such as what the image is and sometimes if the person is smart, they will also in that image description enter their site URL.

Some time ago, on this blog, I mentioned about my own Google personal website, Internet Cash Information. Although this site has been inactive for some time now and nobody ever visits anymore it still has a very good use to it.  At the end of the URL when the word images is entered a list of images that has been uploaded to the site shows up.  So for example my site is https://sites.google.com/site/internetcashinformation/images to access the image location.  Next when an image is upload below the upload window is a place where you can enter a description.  This is another awesome free way of advertising your business and website.

Lastly, as most of you know, Google has done away their Buzz and it is now Google+, their new social network like FaceBook.  When you are searching in Google search, as you may have noticed, there is now a 1+ option that you can click to share the site.  You can also add this 1+ button to your site just like the popular twitter retweet and Facebook like buttons, see mine below.  The google+ is one of the hundreds of free ways of leaving your blogprint in the search engines.

After doing a bit of a search in Google's search engines for website submission sites my Google Blog Sites to the search engines.  Searchenginez is a free site that will submit to Google, AOL, MSN and Yahoo for free.  If you Google the keywords "free website submission", there are sites that will lists hundreds of free sites but Searchenginez is the one needed for the most important search engines.  Searchenginez also has a couple of nifty free tools for search engines , such as, spider simulator to see which sites are crawling your URL.  Searchenginez does not list Ask.com, but you can also submit to Ask's search engine for free.

On the left panel of this Blog, there are social network buttons, linkedln and twitter follow @bethnesbitt and below are custom share buttons.  You can add your own Linkedln by opening an account, if you already haven't done so, on Linedln and installing the Linkedln badge on your own site.  A google search for the right twitter follow button to suite your own site preferences will, of course, will give you plenty choices.
